Headstart 1

I have been a Head Start teacher since 1988, I have an A.A Degree in Early Childhood Education from College of the Siskiyous. I hold a Masters Teacher Permit with the state of California and I am also a Mentor Teacher. Early Childhood has been my life’s work. I am a “ developmental interactionist”. I believe that children learn best through play in a well-prepared environment.

I am a mother of six beautiful children and I have done childcare for most of my adult life. I have an A.A. Degree in Child Development from College of the Siskiyous, then I went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from Simpson University. I hold a Teacher Permit with the State of California. I have been working for Shasta Head start since 2007.

I have been working for Shasta Head Start since 2007. I have a State of California Associates Teacher Permit. I enjoy watching the children grow and develop. I especially enjoy playing sports with children and helping them develop gross motor skills. I continue to take Early Childhood Education courses at College of the Siskiyous.

I have been with Shasta Head Start since 1995. I was a teacher for thirteen years and now serve as Family Worker for two centers in South Siskiyou County. I hold a Site Supervisor’s permit and enjoy working with parents and children.

I have been working for Shasta Head Start since 2004. I am a “serve safe" state certified food handler, and have been since 1980. I started cooking at the age of fourteen, in Hong Kong. I am a father of six children, and a grandfather of eleven, with three great grandchildren... so I think I know a little about children.
